Meet Corey and Ashlee Banks, the dynamic husband-and-wife duo keeping the taps flowing and the community growing at Rescue Brewing Company in the heart of Historic Downtown Upland.
Their story is one part hard work, two parts passion, and a whole lot of craft beer. Corey has been mastering the art of brewing for over 13 years—including nine years right here at this very brewery. What started as a job quickly evolved into a dream: to officially take the reins of the place he helped build. After nearly a decade behind the tanks and taps, Corey and Ashlee jumped at the chance to buy the brewery, turning a shared dream into a family business.
Today, they are thrilled to carry forward the vibrant community spirit that makes Rescue a local staple.
The Dream Team
The secret to their success comes down to a perfect pairing of talents. As Head Brewer, Corey focuses entirely on his true passion: crafting exceptional, high-quality beer. Meanwhile, Ashlee serves as the business mastermind, managing the operations, finances, and behind-the-scenes details that keep the brewery thriving. As Corey likes to joke: “I make the beer, and she makes it legal.”
More Than Just Great Beer
True to its name, Rescue Brewing Company was built around a mission bigger than the pint glass. The brewery proudly champions first responders and dog rescue organizations—two causes near and dear to their hearts that embody service, loyalty, and community. For Corey and Ashlee, giving back isn’t just a bonus; it’s the core ingredient of their business.
When they aren’t busy perfecting a new batch or running the shop, Corey and Ashlee are raising their two young children and fostering a welcoming space centered around great people, delicious food, and phenomenal beer.
Their mission is simple: brew beer you love, welcome everyone like family, and continue honoring the everyday heroes who inspired it all.
Come by, grab a pint, and say hello!
